what are the real sorority rankings here?
by: HaylieWhat are the real sorority rankings here? Top tier? Mid Tier? Bottom Tier?

1. Alpha Phi
2. Sigma Kappa
3. Alpha Xi Delta
4. Pi Beta Phi
5. Alpha Chi Omega
That's not to say one is better than another, that's just how they rank in regards to top tier/bottom tier. If you're thinking about rushing, don't worry about the ranking. Go where you feel best.

1. Alpha Phi- mainly because it is an understood campus norm but they have been slipping recently.
2/3. Tie between Alpha Xi Delta and Sigma Kappa- AZD is more of the "girl next door" type and Sigma Kappa is a little bit more similar to APhi.
4. Pi Beta Phi- Not super involved and have a somewhat negative reputation on campus.
5. Alpha Chi Omega- The lowest on campus. Not the cutest girls but they have a great sisterhood bond.
In the end, you need to be were you feel the most comfortable. No sorority is perfect for every girl.

Continued Post:
4. Pi Beta Phi: I think these girls only rush on the lower end because they don't put themselves out enough on campus. They do have the reputation of getting a little too tipsy too often, but from what I see they have a strong sisterhood with each other. Emphasis on EACH OTHER, and not so much anyone else in Greek Life. Still, they have fun philanthropy events and a tight bond. You also see some diversity here.
5. Alpha Chi Omega: These girls get a bad rep all the time. It's so unnecessary. If you're going through recruitment and you don't consider yourself to be a typical "sorority girl", then this is probably the place for you. While these girls may not be the prettiest, their sisterhood rocks, and that's what matters right? Just because they tend to rush last, don't count them out. You might surprise yourself!
So that's that. There are good and bad things about each chapters. You can't deny that some rush better than others, but please don't let that influence your decision as we officially kick off the recruitment season. Each place has something different to offer. Think about what you want most and do what's best for YOU!

Eh. I'd say that all the sororities on this campus are more or less "equal" although they have certain attributes that make them appealing to different people.
Alpha Chi Omega - there are some super sweet girls in this sorority, but they have the rep on campus of not being the most attractive ever. However, they have a close sister hood, and it is an opportunity to go Greek, with some people who may be compatible with you.
Alpha Phi - like everyone else said, pretty, outgoing personality, but have a reputation of giving it up too easily...Can also get catty. Not known as the strongest with academics either.
Sigma Kappa - Tight sisterhood, can get snobby/cliquey though. There are some nice girls in it though.
Alpha Xi Delta - They have a bit of edge in their sorority. A little less main stream. It's just an interesting collection of different girls. Probably have one of the larger houses on campus.
Pi Beta Phi - These are some really nice girls. Greek week appearances are a little on the weaker side, but once you're in, you're in a super tight sisterhood. As Greek girl said they generally keep to themselves, but are very close.
I think what you have to think about coming into this small of a greek system is where you fit best, not where you think you have to make yourself fit best. If you go with that you'll end up with where you're the happiest.

I think sorority Star said AZD had one of the larger houses on campus not the largest -- maybe read before you post. Also I'm fairly certain that Pi Phi had the highest GPA last year.
