legacy status?

How important is legacy status here, and how cutthroat is rush. Do you need to have connections to certain houses? Do some houses still leave room for "rush finds?"

Legacy status does not matter in top tier houses unless the PNM is amazing! We have so many great girls to pick from that we do not need legacies. Sorry alums! That is just how it is here!

so many girls now are legacies since so many women joined sororities in the 80s. we can't take them all and if they don't fit like any other pnm, then its too bad. if you are an ADPi legacy - you are in!

I was a legacy at several houses (some direct, as in mother-sister-grandmother, others indirect as in cousin-aunt) and I did not end up going to any one of them. In fact, I was actually dropped by a house I was a direct legacy at, which was not top tier. So it depends! Being a legacy or knowing somebody may get you past round 1, but after that you're on your own.

I got dropped by both houses in which I was a direct legacy (mom-grandmother-sister) after 2nd Round. All top tier houses.

If you're and OOS girl is that a big disadvantage? Do some sororities favor Florida girls from nice areas?

It's not like some of the Deep South sec schools. They all consider oos girls for membership
