Are fraternities able to officially extend bids at the very end of spring semester, or over the summer? As in, before their rush week? I don't understand how there are already former ZBTs acting like "official" members, advertising Pi Lam's rush etc. Nothing against it at all just confused. Lol. I'm a girl and sometimes it amazes yet confuses me how differently IFC and Pan are run...
Wouldn't they still be pledges, at the most? But technically did they even get bids yet? How do they know they're guaranteed a bid?
If IFC can give bids over summer, possibly... then why can't Pan do the same? And/or either way how is that fair to those who didn't arrive on campus until fall?

As far as the bids question I know that a bid can be given out at any point in time, but can only be accepted during formal recruitment. I also don't understand how all of them are basically skipping the pledge process bc I hear some of them are actually taking positions on their Exec.
