conversation tone
by: potentialso this is probably dumb, but I'm really worried about making faux pas, and while I'm not great at reading the situation I can follow instructions to a t. in your rush conversations, what is the tone? is this like job interview voice, or how I usually hear girls talking to one another with "so,", "like," etc.? Don't wanna sound like a nerd and don't wanna sound lazy.

That's a very interesting question! Me personally I try and make the girls comfortable because you can tell 90% of the time that they're nervous so I talk like myself, including saying "like" way more often then a human should lol, which I'm pretty sure most girls do. In the earlier rounds, it's very casual and bubbly I'd say. But prefs is more serious and meaningful so you want to take that round very seriously for you're deciding where you want to spend your college years!

I would say talk to us like you'd talk to your friends, not like you'd talk to parents, teachers, etc. the sorority women are super intimating during recruitment (I remember very clearly!) but we're honestly just normal girls trying to find PNMs who will fit in with us and be a good friend/sister. Try not to overthink it.
