I had the mindset that I really wanted to join adpi but after rushing there I realized I was trying way too hard to get them to like me, and they ended up dropping me after the first round. I ended up joining a middle tier house and I'm so happy it turned out that way because I was always so comfortable there during rush and I never had to try and sell myself to them!

I was absolutely in love with DG and Pi Phi and ended up in a very southern sorority so the stereotypes are complete bull.

The house I wound up in and love was one of my least favorites Round One. I also was ranking houses in my mind before rush based on stuff like "I like that Zeta has the crown symbol" and "Phi Mu has a pretty house." Not so smart.

I thought I would be an ADPi for sure because I fit the southern blonde stereotype, but I ended up finding my place in another really great house. I don't see how I didn't notice my similarities to the active sisters before!

when I rushed I had a really good friend who was already in a house. We were so alike and for most of rush I was convinced that I would end up in that house. But, I realized that I kept that house so high on my schedule because of her, and not because of my experience with other girls in her house. Long story short, I chose a different house that I had a great experience each round (and that I now call my home), and she doesn't talk to me anymore because I didn't choose her house. So seriously listen to us when we say to keep an open mind! You'll end up in the place you belong

I actually joined a house that most people think is associated with a specific religion, but I'm not that religion and I love my sisters regardless! I wish people realized it's not as big a deal as some girls make it out to be.

I met some girls in one house over the summer and loved them and thought I would join them but changed my mind during prefs and went somewhere else. Try to keep an open mind til the end.

I had a legacy house that I kept till round 3 that just didnt feel like home to me...chose the house that I never even thought about before recruitment and have been so happy ever since! I think many people end up in places they didn't expect, always for the best. Keep in mind bid day at any house can be overwhelming, so give your new chapter time to feel like home!

Sort of the same thing, I kept my legacy house until the end but I really liked another house better and ended up joining there. My sister joined our legacy house though and she loves it!

It's important to keep your mind open! Don't choose a house based on what you've heard! We're all sisters in the fight against the patriarchy!
