sororities are not everything

To all PNMs- as an active sorority member at UF, I just want to stress something. Sorority recruitment is not the deciding factor for how your life will turn out, and being in a sorority will not solve all your problems, make your life perfect, etc. I promise. Before I went through rush I was a little too excited about being in a sorority and I thought that once I joined my life would be made with a bunch of new friends and fraternity parties and all that. I joined a house I loved and I am so happy I did, but please do not think recruitment defines you as a person. There's so much more to me than my sorority ALTHOUGH I love it. Just want to make clear that Greek life is not as amazing as it may seem, and you really shouldn't stress to hard over it!
