christian sorority
by: CuriousHi Everyone! I'm an incoming freshman. I heard that there is also a Christian sorority on campus that does events with IFC. Is this true?

They are irrelevant among the real sororities and fraternities. This girl is looking for a group that socializes with frats. The irrelevant Christian sorority will not.
Truth is that no one even thinks about or cares about them.

The Christian sorority is great- it is full of wonderful, pretty, loving girls who all share a religion and uphold certain values. They are not in any way irrelevant.
That being said, they do not have an active social rotation with fraternities in IFC. They paired up with machi for DM but beyond that, they do not interact with fraternities nearly as much as Panhellenic sororities do. They are also not as recognized by other students/people locally or nationally.
If you want to join a Christian Sorority, go ahead. It is a wonderful group of women. If you want to join a Panhellenic sorority, go ahead, they are also full of wonderful women. Maybe rush Panhellenic, and if you don't find anywhere you fit/anywhere you fall in love with, try out the Christian sorority after? Or vice versa?
It's up to you.
But to answer your question, there is not an organization outside of Panhellenic that has an active social calendar with fraternities in IFC.

They are a great group of women. No one is "irrelevant". It is sad you feel that way and have to be rude. Let this freshman make up her own mind what is important to her....PHC group or another group. There are opportunities for everyone at UF.
