If a fraternity is under probation, what does that mean?

way more fraternities than you realize are on "probation" it is normally seen as a first strike to an honor code violation. Often fraternities are limited to a number of "registered" events but most parties and stuff go unregistered anyways. It isn't a big deal at all unless you get caught while on probation then you are placed on "deferred suspension" in which you are one mess-up away from being kicked off. tl;dr it isn't a big deal to be on probation
