during recruitment, is it okay to dress "basic"? by that I mean navy/white j.crew chino shorts and jack rogers. obviously not bright-ass lilly because that's not the style here, but going totally by-the-book.
pretty much just buying what we're supposed to instead of taking fashion risks. I just don't want to risk being dropped because I didn't dress differently, ya know?

You won't be dropped because of that, that's a perfectly fine way to dress and most girls do that because it's looking good while playing it safe. You have enough to concentrate on during recruitment so don't get hung up on buying clothes that stand out... Chances are with almost 2000 girls everyone will look pretty similar.
