by: curiousI'm a sophomore rushing this fall & the sororities I'm interested most in are KD, Pi Phi, AXO, Theta, & ADPi. I know there are some differences in "ranks" there, but I wanted to see if anyone was super willing to give me as much detail about each one/their sisterhood/social aspect/kinda girls they are. I'm really excited but I don't want to get my hopes up. Thank youuuu

I'm so happy you're this excited for rush! Yay enthusiasm! Anyways, don't go into rush having a handful of sororities you just "know" you want. Go in with an open mind, talk to girls from each house, and don't make judgements and decisions before even starting. Rush is competitive, and chances are you will not get your 1st choice. You may end up somewhere you never even knew existed, and it may be the perfect fit. Go in with an open mind, and you will be fine. Go in with that mindset, and you are setting yourself up for disappointment.

Will do!! Of course, it's just those are where I know the most girls so naturally, I'll lean towards them before any rush experience at all. Thank you very much! I can't wait for August :) any other advice you may have will be very appreciated

Being a sophomore you probably belong in a different house. KKG and SK are probably the best fit for you.
But you asked so here it goes:
KD = you really don't belong there
Pi Phi = just middle of the road, ordinary
Theta = over rated for what they are; kind of wanna-be's
AXO = now you are probably a good fit there
ADPi = nope - falling fast; not what they used to be.

I have friends who rushed as juniors and are in KD, don't know why you said I "don't belong there" when you don't even know who/how I am. Lol

Well, just from your post I can tell your personality. You asked - sorry I am telling. I don't think you do well with rush so practice up on your people skills.

This girl who replied to you obviously has no idea about the sororities and how they rush girls. No offense but kappa and sigma kappa are bottom tier sororities. The ones you listed are upper mid and top tier (axo is more of a bottom middle but the sisterhood is great from what I hear). I am in one of the other sororities that you listed and I also have friends in some of the others you listed and I can assure you that as long as you keep an open mind and show the houses who you are, you will truly go where you belong. Don't listen to this girl above, she probably is still bitter for not getting her top choice and also, dozens of sophomores rush (there were plenty of sophomores in my PC). Hope you enjoy rush!

Pretty sure there is an upperclassman quota for each house???? it makes zero sense to say that someone "belongs in a "different" house" --- like what? This original poster has just as good of a chance in one house as another as a sophomore. These posts are absolutely ridiculous, most of them are inaccurate, and others a mean.
