No. Likely it will stay vacant for a semester. Sig ep will be back in spring.

I'm rushing next year and wanted to be a founding member but decided if they don't have a house then I wouldn't do it. This changes everything..

I'm also really interested in joining the colony, but it makes sense that they wouldn't have a house right off the bat. Honestly, Idk if it would make a lot of sense to put girls into an old frat house. They'll likely wait and just build a new house. My bet is next to Pi Phi. But that probably won't happen for a few years. DZ took like 3 to plan and build their's. Still sucks though, because if I rush and join GPhi, I'll probably be graduated before the house is built.

they wouldnt move into the house because as a new colony who would fill it? all new members wouldnt just automatically live in the house. Same with Sig ep. even when sig ep is back, they would be completely new with such few brothers that the house wouldnt be anywhere near full. Somebody has to pay rent to live in that house unless, so itll go to whoever can fill it

Since Sigma Kappa won't have a house next year because theirs is being demolished and rebuilt, could this be an option as well? I know it was rumored that they were going to move into Fiji's house but that was confirmed untrue.

You should find out for yourself during rush, I don't personally recommend any PNMs be on this website at all.

BUT.. that being said, I went into rush as a way out of stater, and did no research about what to wear/the houses/reputations/etc. So I was a pretty blank slate. Honestly, every girl who rushed me at SK was so odd and awkward, and not actually all that nice. There was no other house I could say this about (I kept houses like deeph & phi mu for awhile because they were so nice there) and my opinion was echoed by other friends rushing so I think that is their main problem. I know a lot of SKs in their new pledge class though, and they're all nice girls so it could be getting better for them.

But moral of the story, don't listen to anything on here because it really won't help you at all, you've got to form
your own experience. I think I had a lot more of a pleasant rush experience because I didn't have any expectations--in comparison to some friends who already had houses in mind. Sorry this got long haha
