rec letters

How much do rec letters matter? And if you have multiple for one sorority, how is that looked at?

While they do suggest that you get recommendation letters, I can say from personal experience from my own chapter, that we do not look at them, and will only take them into account if a close friend / active or important current sister wrote it for you, who has genuine pull within the house. I'm in a 'top tier' sorority (not that it matters), and all I can is that recruitment is very competitive and recommendation letters will only get you to round 2, and I know this holds true for other chapters as well.

Yes of course! Having current, active, involved or important sisters write you recommendation letters is THE way to go.

I would definitely get letters of rec for the ones you want to be in just so that you can go back to round two. It may help you stand out from the crowd just that extra bit. Really try to get letters from important women though.
