joining a new sorority
by: sugarHi, I currently go to another school and I was initiated into a sorority, I want to transfer here and they do not have my sorority,I was wondering if it would be possible for me to resign and join a new sorority? I heard you can get the consent from both sororities to do so, but how does that work, what is the process?

A sorority is not just four years, it is for life. Once you are initiated you are a member...FOR LIFE. Even if you were in a sorority that had a UF chapter, you AND the UF chapter would decide to accept your affiliation. If you did not affiliate, you would go inactive status or alumna; you would not have the option to join a new sorority. You need to talk to the Panhellenic Council at UF AND your national sorority office to get the correct answer. Not ask on Greek Rank.
