rec letters

Can rec letters be from actives at other schools or only from alumni? I know it varies by school, so I was just wondering!

Rec letters can be written by any alum from any school, as long as they are in good standing. So if they dropped their junior year, they aren't an alum. But no, school does not matter here. I'm sure it'll look better if a strong alum from this school recommends you, but any recommendation can help you. :)
