sorority rush: round 2, year 3

by:

What are my chances of getting a bid if I am going to be a junior rushing in the fall for the second time? I am now the president of a club on campus and my gpa is in an honors category for my college. Any insight is appreciated!

Having done recruitment twice for my chapter, we couldn't care less what your GPA is or if you're the president of a club on campus. It's more about how you present yourself, and if you get along with the girls who rush you. Just be yourself, use your involvement as something to mention while you go through rounds and enjoy the process. Involvement and Honors could be great talking points, but they will not get you a bid, or move you through the rounds. At least not for my house.

some sororities take juniors, some don't. I know that in my chapter we rarely do, but its not unheard of for others to give juniors bids.

What specific chapters take Juniors? (Names)

The ones that do don't take people they already rejected once.

Nobody cares about your gpa, nobody cares that you're in honors, nobody cares that you're in a club. What counts most is how you carry yourself during rush, that you engage with the girl rushing you, and most of all- that you are yourself. You will be fine, and you will find your home. Many houses give bids to juniors, and out of 16 chapters I'm sure you will find where you belong :-)
