how difficult to get bid from top tier

If I want to rush SAE and Sigma Chi next fall, how difficult would it be to get a bid ?

Don't listen to the ranks on here saying they're the best. Sigma chi and SAE are top tier along with ATO, with beta and pike behind them. In these fraternities it is hard to get a bid.

I hate to put it like this, but if you're a top tier quality kid, it's not hard. If you're good looking, sociable and more or less fit the stereotype of that fraternity you get a bid. For example KA isn't going to bid you if you're a miami city kid. Pike usually bids the athletes. Etc. EX/SAE usually bid legacies but if you're good looking and can talk you're fine.
