summer?

I was told by a friend of mine who's currebtly at UF that attending summer session before freshman year is important if you plan on rushing. He said that it helps you get to know some of the guys in certain frats and figure out where you fit in best. Is it true that summer is really important? Will not going to Summer A or B make it considerably harder for me to get a bid? Also in general how enjoyable is summer session?

It helps a lot in terms of getting a bid. Summer is when we truly get to know you and it's a chance for you to make a good impression on us

Summer B will be the best time of your life. There are parties every night and very little academic work

seriously regret it. i rushed in the fall anyway and just didn't know enough so I had to re-rush in spring and had a pretty boring fall semester.

I'm doing summer this year cause I want the experience anyway and you have to do at least 9 credits anyway so you might as well do it now and get a head start on greek life.
