No one will know for certain who is participating in Spring Recruitment until next Spring. Based on how many women graduate in December or go inactive, chapters who are under total may choose to participate. I think Panhellenic raised total so there may be a number of chapters participating.

Panhellenic raised chapter numbers, so almost every house is going to have to participate in Spring Rush. I've heard only four will not. So girls wanting to rush this Spring, this year seems like it'll be a good year to do it.

How do you know for sure that they raised chapter numbers?

not necessarily. many of the chapters took massive pledge classes to fill total.

Delta Gamma - possibly, but they will decide who they want before spring anyways

how do you know already that those sororities are participating in spring rush 2012?

Last year only Delta Zeta, Sigma Kappa, Phi Mu, Alpha Chi, and Pi Phi took girls in spring. A chapter is only allowed to bid girls in spring if they are below campus total. This depends on if they graduate girls in the fall/drops.

Looking at numbers from fall recruitment. Phi Mu took a huge PC. Sigma Kappa struggled. KKG is doing well. Chi O had a LOT of drops.

There's potential for:
Sigma Kappa
Alpha Chi
Chi O

MAYBE Pi Phi, Phi Mu

I would say no to KKG and DZ

If DZ, Phi Mu and KKG have taken springs almost every spring for the last 8+ years, I doubt that the raising of total would suddenly mean they ARENT. Will depend on drops, true, but I wouldn't be surprised to see 5 or more houses do spring.
