Just noticed that the total number of ratings (at the time I am writing this) for Zeta is 666. How appropriate!

This petty Zeta-DG bull has been going on for years. If you look through the old posts, you'll see what I mean. That being said, there's really no reason to comment pro or con either way because NOTHING anybody says hasn't been said before. And nothing to date seems to be enough to put an end to the ranting. Some of it is quite entertaining, however. Especially if you see it for what it really is. Okay, just my two cents on the subject. Enjoy!

I have no self-worth outside the label that is my sorority. That's why it's soooo important for my house to be rated number one. I'll do whatever it takes to see that that happens. Even if it means belittling or demeaning others for no valid reason. Because without the affirmation of superiority from this website, my life would be utterly and completely meaningless. (Sound familar, anyone?)

I caught an old posting from "80s alum" and I beg to differ. The top houses in the mid to late 80's were ZTA, DG, DDD, and ADPi. Then Chi O. Then Theta and AOPi (the latter being known for being the "fun" girls). Anybody would have been proud to be a sister in all of the above mentioned, by the way.

Ten years ago, top houses were KD, ZTA, DDD, with DG and ADPi right behind and then AOPi. DG did homecoming with Theta Chi, for instance, while KD had the solid SAE/SigEp/ATO rotation. Theta and Chi O were solid middle tier. I guess that's a lesson that any house can go up or down, that tiers aren't forever.

All this cattiness aside, this is what you need to know.

The top sororities at UF, in alphabetical order are...

Alpha Delta Pi
Alpha Omicron Pi
Delta Delta Delta
Delta Gamma
Kappa Delta
Zeta Tau Alpha
and then... Kappa Alpha Theta

Each is different and suits a different look/style/personality, but are all the most popular during rush, on campus, and amongst the top fraternities.

Tiers change is right. Back in the late 80's, Sig Ep wasn't even on the radar, and now apparently, they are considered one of the better frats. Same with KD, they were nice girls but hardly the same caliber of ZTA, DG, ADPi and DDD. Just goes to show you have to join a house that's right for you at that particular point in time, even if your older sister or mom was in a strong house when they were here -- that doesn't necessarily mean it's still the right house for you. Go into rush with an open mind, and you will be a lot happier in the long run!
