would fraternities bid a 24 year old veteran?

by:

This may be a dumb question, but there was a negative stigma on the west coast at my last university with pledging a veteran. Are UF's brotherhoods open to an older guy returning home after a few years in the military? The military is essentially one giant fraternity as it is and I have always been interested in sharing my experience with a house. I know it's a judge of character, but I'm curious if I will be judged negatively based off my age and untraditional education path.

I'm not a shell shocked PTSD case; just a normal chill guy who can talk to just about anyone and who will be at UF for the next 4 years finishing my undergrad/MBA.

Also, what are the general requirements for time contributions to the house? I will be working at the veteran resource center and own a business, but I time manage like a boss and don't see it as being a problem unless I have to devote 40 hours a week or something.

Thanks for any advice y'all can give!

Yes, fraternities always need a decent risk manager.

Hoping this vet doesn't get into the frat which you belong to since your such a disrespectful a__! You go out and serve your country and then come back and make the shallow comments that you did. Grow up. Man up. Guys like you give the frats a bad name.

When I was a freshman there was a Vet a couple pledge classes above me who was around your age, I think even older, I wanna say 26. He's the man though and was great brother for the house when he was here. So it's not unheard of
