rush question
by: joanieI am starting rush next week. my mom went to UF and was in a sorority and she filled out a form recommending me. I know that the sorority rules require the house to invite me back to at least 2nd round. Does that increase my chances since they might cut a lot of girls after first round? Or, does it not really make any difference?

First of all this if def the fugging mom, because you type like a 55-year-old and nobody is named "joanie" anymore, ma'am.
Second of all, while many houses may keep her out of courtesy, these aren't the same sisters you had. Why would you want her to be forced into somewhere she wouldn't fit? Why hope for a house you know nothing about? Are they a "top" house and you know your daughter wouldn't make the cut?
I'm all for lifelong-sisterhood and the idea of legacies getting extra consideration, but if you don't know your own house's rules then you clearly aren't involved anymore. And idgaf (whippersnapper lingo) if my daughter was cut, I'd want her sisters to want her, not resent her automatic bid.
