Dei at sororities literally just means making sure everyone’s included. It’s not that deep.

Seriously, which house OP? Some houses are more conservative and some more liberal but every house has both liberals and conservatives. And if anything, the DEI group’s job is to be inclusive and should be there to protect against the sorority officially taking a political position either way.

DEI in houses during Biden administration? That is pretty liberal to me. DEI means that you believe in promotion based on gender and race. Not the best candidate regardless of race, color or creed. That is discrimination. So why the need for DEI?

Diversity. (A group of people from diverse backgrounds is a good thing. If we were all the same life would be very boring). Equity. (Being fair to all). Inclusion. (Making sure everyone feels included). Are these bad words to you? It’s a sorority, it’s not Harvard. Dei helps sisters feel welcome and included.

A sorority is a private organization, it can do whatever it wants with its money, you cold-ass nimwit.

"Diversity" is just a nice sounding way of saying "anyone who isn't white, or male".

Inherently, it is damaging to the optimal functioning of an organization because it prioritizes skin color over competency and qualifications. What happened to judging people by the content of their character? If the optimal candidate happens to be "non-white", then so be it, they should be chosen, and you'd have naturally occurring diversity within a group and nothing would be compromised.

Thinking that non-white people somehow need a "leg up" or a "crutch" to get into an organization is actually insulting to THEM, if you think about it logically. Why would you think that this is necessary, unless you hold the inherent belief that they are inferior, incapable, and too stupid to be able to fill a position based on their own merits?

Furthermore, any non-white candidate in a DEI (DIE) promoting organization will forever be psychologically tormented wondering if they are there because they are capable, or if they are a pawn in some mass group-think political virtue-signal campaign. And all other members of the organization will additionally have an increased likelihood of not taking them seriously, for they will suspect the same, even if the candidate truly was the best pick.

It’s a sorority. Calm down. Try to be kind and put something positive into the world for once instead of complaining about other people’s kindness. Sounds like you’re not in a sorority or even female. 🙄
