They are over confident /hold out giving out bids . Then the are stuck giving bids to girls that have dropped by everyone or have dropped out..

Houses have spring rush for all kinds of reasons...their quotas change, their house board needs more membership for financial reasons, girls graduate, girls drop because they are too busy or can't afford the dues, etc. It is not a reflection on whether a house is a good house or not, but people on here will tell you that, as if spring rush is some sort of scarlet letter. It is not. It's actually more relaxed and you get to know girls a little more personally. But there are usually only a few spots to fill in each house.

It helps if you know someone in a house that you are interested in and go there and meet girls ahead of time, but it is not mandatory. Notification will go out in early spring semester...keep checking the website and good luck.

You are not going to waltz in and get a bid at a popular house. There are only a few spring bids given at these houses and they go to girls they know that they have already been considering. If you have friends at a house where you want a bid then talk to them, that's the only way you are getting a spring bid at a popular/competitive house. Otherwise you can check out any announcements from panhellenic about other houses that also offer a great sorority experience and social life for girls who want actual sisterhood instead of clout chasing.

Tri delt and DG will almost 100% give out some spring bids, their nationals makes them. Last year they each gave out about 3, and yes, you need to know members in order to get your name thrown out there. KD ZTA and ADPI did not last year but the year before KD took 1 and ZTA a couple so it is fully random whether they will this year or not. Last year Aoii took a big spring class too, there form to sign up was on the insta. The spring recruitment info session will have you sign up but probably won’t mention the top tier houses that are doing it, as you can’t just sign up to be considered by them, you have to know people.

Don’t count on any top tiers. If any of them take spring pcs, it will only be people that many of them know personally.

Fall rush has much better chances to get into a top house
