2024 Sorority Ranks Pre Bid Day

To any pnm reading this you survived recruitment week. Been there done that and it wasn't easy. To those pnms that were released, that dropped out, or that didn't end up at pref where they wanted just know it will be fine. Tough it out and give it a little time. Remember you were accepted into UF and so many other people were declined admission. You are already top tier and a winner. Being in that sorority you had hoped for wouldn't completely have changed your UF experience, but it might have enhanced it.

The recruitment process is brutal and archaic if you really think about it. There is no way an active can get to know you from a video or in a very short round early in the week. Be honest with yourself and realize there are several superficial ways that you are being judged. Every single pnm has a super gpa and solid resume. You did all you could, but connections pnms have factor in. Maybe some pnms are judged on looks, others on prominence and some are given bids for the most crazy reasons. Maybe you were just not matched up with the right active each round. It happens every year and it will repeat itself next year.

Please do not let Bid Day take you down and ruin the start of your UF experience. This is the best time of year at UF and go enjoy it. This week was just a small fraction of the time you will spend as a Gator.

For pnms that finished the week have a blast running home to your house and meeting your future sisters. For all the actives congrats on your hard work. To my future sisters see you at the house!!! Go Gators!
