tbh idk what deeph is doing. they should have done spring rush when they were already like 50+ members under chapter total…. i imagine they had graduating seniors and even more drops over the summer so idk how they’ll even be able to recruit.

they might try to take a big pledge class (and COB) to compensate for this but that would also mean pnms would have to pref them over other houses too. deeph does keep to themselves more so maybe they’ll stay a smaller chapter? Idk unless they pull an aphi idk how they’ll play catch up to the other chapters

They can't take a bigger pledge class to get their numbers up through recruitment. All chapters are given the same quota, no chapter can bid match to more than that. Quota additions are placed for the benefit of pnm's to guarantee that everyone who ranks both their pref houses gets a bid to one of them, and those will take a chapter above quota, but it's a recruitment formula, not a chapter strategy to take more members.

If DPhiE needs to get their member totals up, they can only COB, not take more during recruitment.
