Time once again to break it all down...

Houses that are labeled as “top tier” are generally concerned with image and social status, which can be the center of their existence. They want to ensure they are at the best social events and will not jeopardize their image by socializing with anything not considered a top tier frat. These houses will be more “homogenous” in looks and dress, more concerned with looks in their curated IG posts and maintaining a chapter’s reputation tends to hold precedence over sisterhood and accepting sisters who don’t fit their stereotypical image, with a few exceptions. You will definitely find more debutante/pageant types in these houses. This does not mean that these houses are not full of really nice girls, it just means that they are extremely exclusive/selective due to an image centered existence. You really need to fit their image.

Middle tier houses are more diverse and relaxed girls, a little less concerned with image and stronger on sisterhood and academics. Their IG posts tend to be more “real” and not perfectly posed or centered around image promotion. Lots of pretty girls that aren’t facey. These girls are more “real” in their social world and their image, they know how to have a good time without being heavy partiers, but they know academics are also important. Girls tend to be more approachable. They are less concerned with “status” or being seen at the “best” events and more concerned with sisterhood and just hanging out and having a good time. Lots of cute fun girls, generally very accepting.

Bottom tier (I really hate this description, because all houses at UF are amazing) are the most diverse accepting houses and really don’t pay attention to what you think about them..this isnt' their focus. A lot of them have the biggest, nicest and newest houses too. Within their houses, they tend to have lots of small groups of friends, generally because they have the most diverse group of girls. Though they love to mingle and have fun just like anyone else, they are there for the sisterhood, friendships and the academics and really don’t care what you think about them. Very welcoming and accepting. You can tell them they are bottom tier but they haven’t even given that a second thought because honestly, the ranks on this site mean nothing. They are happy and secure with their choices and their chapters and if you want to socialize with them great, and if you don’t, they have other things to do. Probably the most relaxed existence you can have.
