Open Letter to IFC for HOCO
by: hot messWhat a f up. So, if you wanted to change hoco, at least do it ahead of time for everyone. You waited until after first round so that those left unpaired had to submit a rank list for pairing and then you supposedly would do an unbiased matching...what a joke. At least have the decency to make it the same for everyone and have the rank voting submitted to a third party computer system or something that is totally unbiased...and then inform the frats who they got, and then make it so on the same night, all the frats go to their assigned sorority and surprise them with singing and flowers and treats or something. This year you f'd it up big time.

Not sure what awwww’s issues are but sounds like a real winner. Probably from a frat that managed to secure their booty call so eff everyone else attitude. For everyone else, hopefully you have a good time regardless.

I do not give a blank about homecoming pair. Only a few top houses want to make it a big deal and make it a popularity contest and it is not. Frats like girls that will show them a good time on every level. That is it, regardless of rank, top, middle or bottom. Houses rotate anyways on all levels. Some shallow frats and srats can not get past. No PNM is going to take a bid just on HC pairs.

This is true, however why let a fraternity waste money at the end of the day in a sorority that won’t even show up to the events if they are unhappy with that pair or don’t have good relations? What they did this year was unfair and so random…

Dear “honestly”, I think most of the classy srats would just like to have a fun homecoming event with no sleazy expectations. And frat/srat definitely do not rotate on all levels…within levels more likely. The so called top tiers fish in the same small pond every year.

I think the point that’s being missed is not hoco as a status, but the fun that surrounds the process and that over the years it has gotten out of hand and needed to be fixed but this was not the way to do it…the result was some got the fun of the courting process, no matter if it was over the top, and others just got told who they’d be with. There was no plan and it was just thrown upon houses with no chance to prepare of take votes on a list, etc. no plan on what to do after names were given, like that’s when a frat maybe goes to surprise the house that they were paired with. It was just very blah and anti-climatic and that’s the point.

so much wasted time on HC for a piece of booty. This is Ridiculous . I am sure the girls in DDD/ZTA would be an escort to any frat if the money is right. So can DG and and Aoi. Frats need to partake in socials with these houses , so they can buy some. Theta too.
Poor frats having to be a boat load of money for free chicks.
