chi o ???
by: curiousokay so i got dropped from chi o during rush and i’m a legacy so i have no room to judge and maybe i’m just bitter from getting dropped but i feel like their pledge class this year isn’t super involved? they seem like genuine girls but most of them are super shy and quiet and can’t hold a convo and some of them are lowkey weird and i just feel like they don’t really interact with anyone besides themselves that much like even at frat parties they stay in the corner and don’t talk to guys. idk maybe that’s just my personal experience BUT ALSO REMINDER that this isn’t a place to say anything bad abt their looks so don’t bring them down in the replies

Hi! I understand your frustration as I was dropped from my legacy srat and ended up in a different srat. Everything happens for a reason and it sounds like you would not get along with your class if you hadn’t been dropped! If you’re someone that likes to be super involved it could have been more frustrating to have your class be super antisocial and you would have been more unhappy. Now you have the freedom to meet people who are a better fit for you. Srats change over the years so sometimes just because your legacy doesn’t mean you’re a good fit and going to find good friends in that srat!

xo is one of the biggest sororities in the nation so they have a LOT of legacies coming through. chapters tend to give preference to legacies who are connected to that school’s chapter, so if your mom was a XO at some rando small school it won’t hold as much weight. and even that does not guarantee you a bid!! a lot of panhel sororities are doing away with legacy status so it matters less and less each year.
i think xo has been trying to move away from their boring christian white girl image for a few years now lol. they’re not my fav house by any means but i know some sweet and fun chi o’s, it all depends on who you meet. they are known for being a lil insular, if they do hang out with other sorority girls it’s usually like adpi, kd, kappa or phi mu. tbh i do think they cross rush more with kappa & phi mu than they do adpi & kd or other middle houses. you have to admit they have a strong sisterhood, despite being a lil boring or off.

that’s exactly what i thought too but after seeing their pc i realized that i’m not sad that they dropped me because their new member class is not my vibe so i think it was for the best
i do agree it hurts seeing them pick weird girls over you though
