Who really ranks fraternities?

As somewhat of an outsider, I’m always confused about how fraternities end up ranked how they are. A few of the top ones seem to be very elusive and uninvolved, and you only hear about them when there is an SA case, while some of the “upper mid” frats seem to be more relevant. Does it just come down to money?

This is true. Houses like AEPi have way more influence than Machi on campus. Rankings don't really matter outside of perceptions when hoco pairing and mixers with some panhellenic sororities.

I dislike frats. Punks that still act like HS jerks. I do not go to their socials. As a senior I done with their antics. From them trying to get into your pants. Grow up.
