OOS Missed rush
by: CluelessSo I missed rush bc I didn’t know it was the week before classes. I’m from OOS and I’d like to try it next fall or maybe spring idk. But I want to kinda know what I’m getting into. I don’t want to be around a bunch of fake mean girls or ppl who are too into partying. So what are the most friendly sororities and also which ones focus on actually doing well in class? I like going out and having fun, just not 24/7 and not always getting drunk. Also, I saw on yik yak’s insta that axo won the best sorority. Is that a good sorority to try to get in? Ty

This sounds like a self serving post given Greekrank and FL have grades posted for all sororities. ACO is not at the top for grades but I am sure other items. You need to keep an open mind as sororities chose you so looking at instagram is not the same as the actual rush process. You should go ahead and go through spring rush as your chances may not be better in the Fall given how you thing about sororities the top tier may not matter to you. Look at Panhellenic UF for details on spring.

All sororities are large so like any large group of women you will find all types in them including mean girls. No sorority has all fun girls and no mean girls -that is not life. You need good grades for almost all sororities and minimum GPA is posted on UF Greek. Agree Go through spring recruitment and best to know women in sororities as it is the easiest way to get in them. Kappa is really friendly and welcoming too...my pi chi was a Kappa! And I agree the others listed are very friendly and nice.
I think there is a post on here about grades too for reference and on the UF panhellenic website?
