Can someone explain COB

It depends on what house you want as usually top houses tend to not do COB unless they do not fill their quota in fall rush

I would still visit the two houses today because this round is more in depth into the chapter's rituals and can help you get a real inside look at the sisterhood. If after that you truly feel that neither is going to be a fit for you, then you can drop officially. Don't count on a COB...you can also see who is doing spring rush (it's not a given and only happens if a house increases their quota or has a lot of girls graduate/drop and need to fill an existing quota) which is more laid back and less competitive.

COB is not a second chance mini rush to get a better house. It is up to panhellenic setting house total after rush and up to individual sororities to offer any or not, if they have spots. You really have to know members in a sorority to get one and you would not have the same new member experience. Fall recruitment is the best time to get a bid and fall semester as a new member is the best time of your life!

Pref is often a game changer for pnm's who aren't feeling it. Go to pref and see. If you absolutely feel you don't want to be friends with the members and would rather go without a bid at all and miss out on something potentially amazing, they don't sign your card.

If the two choices you have left are "lower tier" chapters, the likelihood of you getting a bid at a higher house that already cut you is very slim. Most of the higher houses won't have COB, and your choices will be limited to the same houses probably. Go to pref and see it through. You don't have to sign your MRABA at the end of the night if you don't want to join, but give those groups a chance. You might be surprised.

KD did have snaps in recent years but nothing you can do about that. For COB, express interest to Panhellenic. If you drop recruitment I think you have to wait until fall of 24, maybe with cob too. Go thru prefs. You may change your most nd. Don’t sit out of a year of parties, friends, games etc

If you join and find out in a month or do that Ute house isn’t working, you can quit before initiation
