My pseudo name is Monta Backe (aka FAX on Greek rank) and I am the creator of the TOR-Score which debuted exclusively at UF on January 26, 2020 (first ranking for the 2021 school year). I have never been a part of Greek life here or anywhere, although my significant other is very involved. After listening and reading many months to nonsense regarding tiers and what drives them, I decided to create the TOR-Score. TORS shows other aspects of Greek life that were off the radar from most members and future pledges. It is but one tool to use when deciding which house to join and should never take the place of a personal visits to each house.

TOR-Score (Total Objective Ranking Score) is an objective measurement based on public information/UF Scorecard. It is presently derived from 4 sources and will be an ever-changing ranking for all to see - other sources may be added in the future. Dance marathon results for March 2022 have been added to the previous charitable contributions totals posted from the UF website in previous years. Adding in all public charity events through May 2022. GPA and Active Member categories are taken directly from the UF Scorecard Report. The TORS final calculation consists of all reported charitable contributions, dance marathon results, active member totals, and GPA results - all are weighted. All ties are totally equal and posted in alphabetical order.

So many different criteria to rank houses….will there ever be a 2023? Interesting to see how houses compare over the years when you base it on other factors not just some anonymous poll based on ….really what are they based on?
