would sae/sigma chi/ato/phi delt take an oos from

by: frat

I'm currently a senior in high school most likely going to UF next year and hoping to get into one of the fraternities in the title but I was wondering does being an OOS from Illinois put me at a disadvantage/would they automatically not take me because of it? Because I know SAE and ATO are "southern" fraternities and Phi Delt is sofla, not really sure about Sigma Chi.

No. There's multiple out of state kids in each of those. The only fraternity that's hardcore southern is KA. If you're cool no one cares where you're from

Don't join Greek life if you're looking for tiers, people like you make fraternities look bad. SAE and ATO have a lot of kids from South Tampa but try to dress southern.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Smart money says this kid doesn't get a bid at any of these houses.

The only ones replying are bottom teirs who want a shot. OOS doesn't matter at UF, precedence is given to guys brothers already know but there's room for you if you're good enough. Only KA cares about getting southern guys, maybe ATO but even there it's probably fine.
