Up: excel in one thing rushees care about. beta has had great pledge classes in recent years because of winning the presidents cup and building their house. rushees care about sports and the house they will potentially live in. likewise, theta chi now has the best house which is also attracting rushees.

Down: when you show that you're desperate. examples are DU giving out so many summer bids and sigma nu calling random rushees from the ifc list the day before rush.

Sigma Nu didn't do that...I don't know where you heard that bro, but we did normal rush just like any other chapter.

i didn't just "hear that", I was personally called by someone in sigma nu when i rushed a year ago. he said he got my name and number from the list of guys who were registered to rush with ifc and said "you should totally come to dinner tomorrow night bro" and kept texting me the whole day like "so are you coming to dinner tonight?" same thing happened to others i talked to. i don't know if that happened this year, but definitely last.

With all due respect OP, you're dumb. You've been in Greek life for not even a year you have no right to preach on what makes a chapter rise or fall. It has to do with so many different factors other than a house and annoying kids on the IFC rush list
