fall 2019 ranks with explanations

I don't really know what the bottom 5 does. No one else seems to either, because the last ranking of them got pretty good agreement. TKE is generally in the bottom because they don't have a house on or near campus, and they're not as involved as zbt

I was surprised too honestly, because I have nothing against them, but the last few rankings have all asked for deeph to be put lower. They're still in a good spot and they're definitely not going any lower

To add to this, they're in the middle to start with because they're a completely solid, well-rounded sorority. One con I hear consistently is that deeph can be rude compared to other sororities, but not to the extent that it brings them into bottom tier. It also likely hurt them that they had to pay for half of their homecoming this year. They're overall a diverse, fun group to be with.

I preffed Deeph and honestly they get a weird amount of hate on this site. Prob bc their vibe is too forward for a lot of girls. They’re definitely more on the standoffish side but once you talk to them i’ve found them to be very welcoming and fun. Good GPA usually too! They have been getting less hotties tho but still fun and trendy and imo, more on par with DZ than AXO/KKG

theta chi has been rising ever since they "stole" sig ep's brothers way back in like 2013. I don't know (or particularly care) if they're going to continue to rise, but it's a pretty solid consensus that they are where they are right now. They're a very involved, very social crew that is a lot of fun to hang out with.

sae and pike have historically been at the place they are now, and it doesn't seem like they're going to move anytime soon. They both have good social relations, good involvement, and successful community service. Despite all of the trouble they got into this past year for dirty rushing, they manage to maintain a consistent brotherhood that is generally well-received by others. As long as they don't continue that behavior, people won't be calling for them to change positions.

delt's self ranks on this site are some of the cringiest things I've ever seen, but irl they're a good group. They have a good balance of being both involved and social. They're the same with KA in that they haven't done anything particularly special enough to have people calling for them to move up or down. overall a solid fraternity.

People complained. The spaces are meant to show groups as best as possible, but don't consider them "upper middle" or anything like that. It's just to emphasize that they have a while before people will agree that they've moved up (or down).

The same thing happened with frats, you can see there's a space between chi phi, lxa etc and the bottom 5 fraternities.

Pi phi and theta are both regarded as social, well-received houses. Pi phi is seen as more involved academically and casual socially, at the cost of being highly variable in the type of person that rushes there. Meanwhile, theta is more of the straightforward partying type. Basically, pi phi's image is as a unique, fun sorority, likely helped by their house position on frat row (until alpha phi builds there), while theta is comparatively traditional.

Personally, just about every time someone mentions theta to me, they bring up the chicken parm and racism scandals that happened there a year or two ago. But most other ranks don't seem to acknowledge this, and the fact that I know more pi phis probably makes me a little biased, so I didn't change any rankings except those indicated by popular opinion. Overall, both houses haven't moved ranks in a while. They are solid, social, and very fun to hang with.

can you explain why zbt is rising but not agr or theta?

ZBT is got phi mu for hoco who I thought was out of their league, especially since they don’t have a house. AGR has a house and hasn’t had a hoco pair since 2017 and hasn’t done anything of note lately aside from taking Teps house and doing nothing with it. For theta I’ve heard their pledge classes haven’t been as good these past few years and also some of my friends in theta are considering dropping because of how strict their exec is.

That’s fair, I didn’t consider that. Also for the record, I was told by an agr that they’re building a new house across from sae, so that it’ll be ready by the time tep comes back in a few years.

Yea I’ve heard about AGR building a new house, I saw the plans and it looks really nice. This issue is it’ll cost 7 mill, so it’ll probably be awhile before it gets fully funded and built. But when it’s done they’ll definitely improve

Pi Lamb wont have a hoco pair for two years straight which is a bad look and hurts recruitment which is already visible from last falls pc, also I’ve been told theirs recent PCs are sub par. All the old ZBTs have pretty much graduated, and they’re the reason Pi Lamb was ever relevant cause they were in the same tier as Fiji beige the merge. Sure they had Pauly d perform but any mid tier frat could afford that if they didn’t have to spend money on homecoming. Also while they do have top tier groupies, other mid tier frats do too. Phi mu being paired with a houseless frat is a bad look. Especially since that was the only frat that wanted to court them.

are you seriously asking the correlation between old ZBT's graduating and Pi Lam losing relevancy? Pi Lam was NOTHING but then ZBT got kicked off campus and all went Pi Lam. Those old Zeebs have graduated. The ZBT on campus now is not the ZBT that went Pi Lam. Old ZBT was good.

Phi Mu was also courted by Sigma Nu, but that doesn't significantly impact what "in addition" said
