is uf actually a hype party school?
by: UFI visited UF on a random thursday during the fall and honestly it seemed dead and nothing was happening at midtown or even around campus it seemed like. Yes, classes were in session by the way. So are there lots of fraternity parties and house parties and hype bars?

UF isn't really that much of a party school IMO. If you are involved in Greek life or just find things to do you can have a really great time but academics are very important to most students. Plus compared to some college towns where you can get into a bar with a Pokémon card, UFPD/GPD are pretty strict so either you're bribing your way into bars or going in as under 21. But UF is about balance so I wouldn't say it's a party school because every person you see getting messed up also studies really hard.

I mean we all know how to have a good time but we also care about our studies so I wouldn't necessarily call it a huge party school. With that being said, you can find something to do almost every night but I do believe most people here want to stay focused on school stuff

Compared to most other SEC schools besides Vandy UF is by no means a party school. There are parties occasionally, but you’re getting into a bar either fortunately with a fake or actually over and blowing $60 in a night and not getting that drunk. It’s not a place where you can go bar hopping and go to a rager every night
