historical rankings
by: CuriousI was wondering if anybody had any insight on what the fraternity and sorority "rankings" were like back in the day, like throughout the 50's 60's 70's 80's 90's and early 2000's?

I am a 3rd Gen UF Alumna & 4th Gen Gville "Homegrown". I grew up with a Delt (DTD) Dad who told me stories that offered a unique & intimate view into UF Greek Life. I knew every Frat & Sorority and by the time high school came around we were regularly sneaking into Frat parties and seeing/experiencing the Greek Life for ourselves.
With this knowledge & experience I wanted NOTHING but to pledge Delta Delta Delta. I have a ohoto of myself from a 7th Grade drama production where I'm wearing a DDD jersey. I was DONE. Number one bid, lived in the house and remained proud to be a DDD. Yes, I'm blonde, was a "board girl", academic over-achiever, cheerleader, dancer, model....yes I was the TriDelta stereotype but I LOVED the girls & living in the house was my favorite year. I met the live of my life all due to TriDelta. <3
I now have legacies ....and in checking out the campus & our house after being gone/living my life, I was SHOCKED to see what had become of what I'll politely call our "rep". Who pledged these girls & why? Recruitment clearly fell apart. I'm contacting executive board to have it addressed. When you have a sorority chapter with DECADES upon DECADES of being #1 /at the very top, then they PLUMMET in a FEW Short Years -- WHAT IS GOING ON? Can any current student/someone who witnessed the decline tell me what happened?
Oh...I'd be happy to give rankings from my G-parents through my own time at UF after I deal with this. I can provide quite a full picture.

they're was something sketchy that went into Tri Delta's house payments though I remember reading about it online. The members that were currently there while the house was being built were required to pay more to help pay off the dues I think. I could be wrong but I know it was something that pissed off the former members who were there during construction

Wouldn't be surprising. Both have always been at or near the top at UF except when they both got suspended and had to start over.
