how to get invited to summer b parties

Is it wrong to introduce myself to guys I see around campus / in my classes that are wearing letters of frats I'm interested in? I'm a guy rushing this fall and moving in on campus this week for Summer B. How do I get in the door at Frat parties to meet people? Are a lot of parties open to anyone?

Sorry if these are stupid questions or if they've been answered!

No, never talk to the guys of the fraternity you're interested in. That shows desperation. Instead just make eye contact with him and don't turn away until he says you have a bid.

So I'm in a top tier fraternity, and You should definitely go up to a brother and make conversation Definitely get their number and then if you made a good impression, they'll text you about parties.
