They're big and they do service. You can't join them and then join another sorority (a couple of their members had to leave when they joined gamma phi). They seem fine but I literally have never met anyone in them.

Are they similar to Panhellenic sororities? I was just drawn to them because I heard they were an organization that's similar to a sorority but more affordable. I want to rush Panhellenic but I really can't afford the dues. I still want the traditional sorority experience though. :/

honestly no they're not comparable to panhellenic sororities, they don't have the social life aspect you'd have the same experience just being a part of any club

Ugh. That bums me out. Thanks for the information. I'll probably rush them anyway just to see if it's what I'm looking for.

I have friends in DNZ! While it's not entirely the same as a pan sorority, it does have similar aspects. It's way cheaper which is a perk and you still get to meet some awesome girls. They do require you to do a certain amount of service hours, I think 20 hours a semester so that can take up some of your time, but my friends in DNZ all love it. They do have some socials and stuff, but its with frats that I've never heard of (no offense, I've just never gone to their parties as they're not big frats). They seem to be growing in numbers. It's definitely not the same party stuff as a normal sorority, but you can still go to frat parties and stuff.
