Is it more difficult to get a bid rushing as a sophomore?

Not necessarily. You need a 3.0 or above for some houses. If you met sorority members during your first year and are well liked then that is good. Campus involvement also helps.

Honestly, yes a little bit. The pledge classes numbers will be overwhelmingly made up of freshman. However, there are spots available for older students, and if you are a great fit, rush can work out just fine. Definitely worth a try if you are interested.

I wouldn't let it deter you, but know that it will be a little bit more difficult!

chapters are required to split up quota between freshman and upper classmen so you' probably have more of an advantage because every chapter needs upperclassmen but not as many go through rush
