Relax. Try to enjoy it, cause parts might be rough. Make sure you feel comfortable and confident with your clothes, because the heat will be brutal on your hair and makeup. Drink lots of water. If you plan to eat on campus, make sure everything isn't closed (but Jimmy John's is a lifesaver if it is). Take good notes on the houses you go to, really try to reflect how you felt while you were there. And when you rank which houses you liked the best, if it looks identical to a list you could find on here, you're probably doing it wrong. Go where you honestly feel you'll be happiest and the most comfortable.

If I could do it over:

1. Save you money and spend it on rush clothes and makeup that make you feel FABULOUS. I mean it. The way you look is so important and just splurge -or shop around, you won't regret it. Quality clothes are obvious and so are cheap clothes.

2. Work out this summer. Make a schedule and stick to it. Same reason as above. Same applies to all beauty regimens like teeth whitening etc. Stay away from spray tans they're tacky.

3. Don't read the stuff on here. I agree with the poster above, you really need to preference a house where the girls seem like "your kind of girls" and not a stereotype you're trying to fit into.

4. Be yourself. Only way to follow #3.

5. Try to remember that this is just like talking to a random girl in line at the store. That way you don't freak out. Take good notes. Really try to visualize yourself eating, partying, traveling, with these girls for 4 years and if you aren't excited about the idea then the house, or perhaps the greek system as a whole, isn't for you
