rushing as a junior? scared to miss out.

by:

Sorry if I'm bothering anyone with this post, but I've been at UF since the beginning and I feel like I truly am missing out by not joining a sorority. I seriously think the bonds and ties they have are unlike anything else and I just don't think I would want to graduate without having experienced that! I'm planning on rushing Fall '17, and I'll be a junior. Do I have a chance of getting into sororities, especially because of the upperclassmen quota? I'm in a super competitive major, will have recs, held down some jobs and I'm a friendly sociable girl. (Idk if this matters but I am not unattractive, and people usually ask me if I'm In a top tier sorority because of my "looks", I know it might not matter but I just want opinions)
Also, are there any sororitys that do not fill upperclassmen quotas?

Also if you guys have any tips on what I can do to stand out, I'd love the opportunity to know and be able to really reach a wide set of houses and see which one feels like home

I am so over y'all coming on here like do I have a chance???
Girl just freaking rush.
1. There's an upperclassman quota so you'll be "competing" (I use that term very lightly) against sophomores, juniors, and seniors. NOT freshman.
2. A house cannot decide to not fill the quota. It's up to the computer system what quota is and stuff like that and who returns where and such. A house cannot be like "mmm I don't want 20 upperclassman this year, so I'm just going to pass on that one but thanks".
3. Recruitment is a weird freaking process. I've known upperclassmen who rushed who I thought were amazing and beautiful and funny and they ended up in a "bottom" house, and girls who were mean and not necessarily attractive and ended up in a "top" house. The point is anything can happen, so just because you're pretty and social doesn't mean you'll go exactly where you want.

Just ride the wave and see how it works out and get off this stupid ass sight. And go to the info session tomorrow, info on pan facebook page.
