I'm from the midwest and plan on participating in sorority recruitment in the fall. Will it be difficult for me to get a bid since I'm not from the south and don't have and family ties to greek life at the school?

You'll be fine but get rec letters if you can. Each sorority has its own membership requirements.

Get them recs if at all possible. You never know when they will help and they cannot hurt.

Agree on getting recs. They can be sent to the chapters rush chair from any alumni of that sorority. The alumni can be from any school or any age. Your teachers and/or Moms friends may be able to help. Make sure you submit a nice picture.
