spring rush?

Every single house has to do spring rush, if they have enough members though they don't have to take any girls. I like spring rush alot more it's way more relaxed and opened, fall rush is very mechanically timed and a bit overwhelming. I don't know why it has a bad rep bc it's way easier to get a feel for the girls in each house than in the fall. good luck! :)

There are two days of spring rush. The first is tabling in the Reitz. All the sororities participating set up booths and you walk around and talk to girls from each chapter. The next day all the houses participating are open. You are given a time frame (last year it was 11-6) that you have to walk to all of the houses. You MUST go to all houses participating. You can stay as long as you like at each house. They can call you the next evening to offer you a bid or to invite you back over. You accept one at that point.
Not all houses are required to participate, just the ones who want to or who need a few more girls. Last year 11/16 participated. The number of girls each house is taking varies depending on how many they need and how many they are allowed to take. Some take around 15-20, but I think most usually only take 5-10.

Not at all. I think there may be someone who checks minimum GPA but other than that it doesn't really matter.

how do the girls usually dress for spring rush? is it like wedges and dresses, or is it more relaxed?

So far for sororities this spring 2013 I know that Phi Mu, Alpha Chi Omega, Chi Omega, and Delta Zeta are doing spring rush. I'm also pretty sure theta and DG are doing it but I'm only 95% sure about those.... can anyone help us out here?! Im curious as well

Panhellenic chapters that do not have 200+ members will be given the choice to participate in Spring Recruitment. There is a fee this year, if I remember correctly, to go through. The official announcement of who is participating is at the information session (usually done the day before its starts). All but 5 chapters participated last year, so it could be similar or drastically less. Its all up to graduation rates, etc.

If you are very serious, its best to contact Panhellenic Council with your questions than turn to a site full of "trollers" in it feeding you incorrect information.
