Hey man,

During Rush Week in Spring, the first night most, if not all, the fraternities send members out to Flavet Field. There'll be food as well, and you can just head out there with all the other guys and check out any/all of the fraternities and see which interest you and get more information on the ones you like.

Hope that helps!

Houses don't offer bids in the spring. They're all full.

^ That person is an idiot and is probably messing with you.

Pretty sure Panhellenic made open-house style rush mandatory for ALL sororities last year, but it wasn't required that they ALL give out bids.

That said I know how houses that weren't planning on giving bids to girls who they really liked.

DG DDD AOII DZ PIPHI DPHIE XO AXO KKG SK and PHIMU all gave out bids I'm pretty sure.

Is spring harder to get in a sorority than fall? do the sororities still really look into your grades/involvement/etc or do they look less into it?

Actually, panhellenic did not make open-house style rush mandatory for all sororities. If you do not get the amount of girls in the fall that you need to keep, then your sorority needs to do spring rush.

That is not true. Sororities can chose whether or not they want to participate in Spring Rush based on if their quota was filled in the Fall/or if a lot of girls dropped from the Fall and they now have available spaces for new girls. Not every house participates. You can look online for a list of participating houses.

thanks! that makes me feel alot better :) i'm really nervous because I hear spring is alot harder to get into than fall, especially this year since the pledge class this year is soooo huge & alot of girls probably dropped and are re rushing in the spring again. but thanks again!!!

So I'm guessing it's harder to get into a sorority in the spring? :/ Also, is it awkward being a spring girl because I mean, the sororities are basically only offering you a bid because they need to... I just feel like it would be awkward like you're unwanted or something

Hundreds of girls go through spring and there aren't a ton of bids to go around, so if you get one, you are definitely wanted.

Why are girls getting kicked out of DG? What happened that got them in trouble?

Don't think that actually makes them GDIs. Unless they get kicked out of DG when/if they lose their charter they're still members.
