Heard SigEp is going to have a house next year but no game days because the house is totally dry.

Pretty sure some of those "bad" guys are now "virtuous" alumni leading the rebuilding effort.

SigEp is not just "fixing up the house." They are building an accredited Residential Learning Community.

The RLC features include a faculty fellow office, multi-purpose classroom space, and individual and group study areas.

Balanced Men yearn for color, natural and task-appropriate lighting, and interesting room shapes. The entire fraternity facility will be reconfigured to create opportunities for learning environments. Traditional hallways and even student rooms themselves will be re-envisioned to fit the educational and technological needs of today’s students. Seating must take into account different body sizes.

This sounds more like a co-ed academic fraternity than a social men's fraternity.

Maybe Pi Kapp should use Sig Ep's house until Sig Ep builds up membership numbers.

Honestly, that would be a great idea. At least Pi Kapps will put the house to good use, before it becomes an academic gangout for scholarly goobers and GDI's.

Yes, that would be a better idea. I bet many of the former Sig Eps will even attend, because this new joke of a Sig Ep colony will never hold any PGP in the future. They will be to worried about making the Honor Roll and what type of cookies to serve at their milk and cookie mixers.

"Since our undergraduates voted to fully implement the Balanced Man Program (BMP) in 2015, the vast majority of our chapters have worked hard to implement the programs critical components. Because our chapter leaders are setting higher standards and holding members accountable, some chapters have seen members resign who resisted a more challenging and development-focused experience.”

That will explain why Sig Ep nationally keeps shutting down chapters left and right. Within the last 5 five a total of 12 chapters were shut down. It's the end of what was once a dynamic fraternity.

Looks like only 2 chapters so far according to Greekchat under 2016/2017 Colonization, Chartering & Closures. But Greekchat only lists the fraternity/chapters that have been reported by local IFC/Universities. There are probably more that have not yet been reported as far as we know.

The 2 chapters were University of Wisconson-Madison and Case Western Reserve Univ. But that was from Fall 2016. I don't know about Spring 2017 yet. I'm sure there will be 1 or 2.
