Looks matter round 1, after that if you're invited back they think you're pretty enough. For the most part.

Depends on the house. If you're trying for a top house (ZTA, ADPi, KD, DG, DDD) then round 1 is pretty much all looks since they barely get to talk to you. After that its more of how well you get along with the person you talk to. Looks do matter for top houses unfortunately
