I'm currently pledging a fraternity right now but I'm considering dropping. Would I have to wait till next rush to try joining another fraternity or do some frats do year round recruiting for a few extra members?

You'd have to wait for next fall. If you don't like the guys, definitely drop. You don't want to waste your time there for 4 years with guys you don't like
