If you drop, your sisters probably won't talk to you anymore and you'll be judged a lot. Also consider reasons why you want to drop? Have you tried reaching out to exec? Is it a financial issue? Whatever it may be, be careful because once you drop, you'll never be able to join another sorority again.

why would you drop? You can't find happiness in a house of over 200 women? You took a space someone else would have wanted and now you want to drop? This is real life....when you get a job will you "drop" just because? If you really HAVE to drop then why are you concerned about what it will be like?

Idk, i get a little annoyed about people who are flippant about dropping. When you join, you typically make really solemn promises about your commitments to the sorority. If that is not something you are going to take seriously, my thought is that you should drop before initiation. No, it isn't the end of the world if you drop, and difficult financial situations can crop up, but I for one try to seriously honor promises and commitments that I vow to make and would try not to drop unless I really had to. Does anyone else see it from that perspective too?

Lol. Do not compare dropping a sorority with quitting a job or losing anything else in life. I dropped and here's why. I outgrew my sorority. I got too busy with extra curriculars and wanted to do better in school. I wasn't going to the socials. I wasn't going to meals because they became inconvenient when I had classes during lunch and dinner times. I was still hanging out with my friends, and with the exception of certain exec members, I still talk to many of the current members of the sorority. Now please tell me, what is the point of staying in a sorority and paying X amount of dollars a semester when you aren't participating in any of the events? Or what if the girl just simply does not like which house she's in? Some girls are just not the sorority type and join because it's what everyone else is doing and they think it's a good idea at the time, but later regret it.
