by: RobWho will Pi Phi choose for Hoco? Many expected them to move up after Delt, but now they're choosing between KSig (coming off alpha chi), AEPi (coming off getting dropped by DZ), and Pi Kapp (houseless and just lost courting for DZ to Delt). Not your best situation..

They're still a solid upper mid house, especially after their most recent PC. I don't think their hoco options change that, I just think that hoco courting worked out weird this year (they've had the other upper mid houses Delt and KA too recently to have again and they don't have the best relationship with theta chi so that wasn't gonna happen). I think all three have a good bet at winning and it'll be pretty split. Aepi has a lot of money and throws awesome events but not that many Pi phis hang with aepis, Kappa sig courted them last year and lots of them like kappa sig but I heard kappa sig was having financial issues and might not throw the best hoco and Pi kapp has a great relationship with them but no house next year. It's a toss up.

Pi Kapp is getting a brand new house that will be bigger than the new house next door to them. Its going to be amazing. Its no big deal they wont have a standing house for homecoming. They have the funds to do stuff other places to make up for it while the house is being built.

As other posters have mentioned, pi phi has had theta chi, KA, and Delt these past three hoco, meaning they cannot have the last two again and they hate theta chi has an autocratic dictator as social chair. So, it kind of leaves them in a sticky situation. I think they had a better PC than Theta and DZ but when you technically can't have hoco with upper mid because you already have had homecoming with them, there isn't much you can do.

if pikapp won't have a house, they probably won't have tailgates either, or at least not on frat row, which is a big part of hoco week. AEPi might have the best tailgates (I like pilam's a lot too) and kappa sig isn't on frat row either.
If I'm them I'd probably pick aepi just because pikapp won't have a house but those are the 2 best options

yea it works out weird for a few houses every year and this year its pi phi. but they still have good options imo. aepi is hella fun and they like pi phi and ksig a lot
